Very Busy Scientists!

This term we have been very busy scientists.

In the first half of the term, we explored different areas of Science learning about the branches of science.

In the second half of the term, we needed to turn into advertisers who were trying to sell a product. We conducted a mini Science investigation at home and we asked an adult to take photos of us while we did this. To communicate our findings we decided to have a Science Exhibition. We made posters, tickets and invitations to this very special event. We learnt so much about Science and Enterprise. At the same time, we decided to ask for a gold coin donated from parents and teachers to come to the science exhibition and give the money to a charity, which was the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. We raised $177 for them!

Here is some feedback from our audience:sci2
• I liked how were able to go into all four rooms to see the children’s work and we were impressed at how many distinct ideas were presented.
• I loved the fact that everyone brought a new idea into the classroom.
• I learnt many new things.
• I learned some surprising stuff about making marshmallows grow huge, the pictures and thorough explanations were great.
