Our team did amazingly well

police2Four of our Year 7 children, Lucy, Amelia, Lachie and Broughton, recently took part in the NZ Police’s PCT Challenge. The PCT is the physical competency test that NZ Police use for recruitment and subsequent physical competency to be a member of the police force. Police districts hold intermediate aged PCT challenges throughout NZ. The challenges that the children were involved in were some of the same as the police force also undergo.

The children had to push a police car, run an obstacle course and complete push-ups (to their limit!). Our team did amazingly well, coming in second place by only two points. All four said the day really tested their physical limits and ability to work as a team – which they did outstandingly.
