Parent Teacher Association

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an enthusiastic, energetic group of parents who support St Heliers School in its day-to-day activities throughout the year.

Meetings

The PTA is affiliated with and responsible to the Board of Trustees and holds a meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30 pm in the school staffroom. All parents are warmly invited to attend these meetings and/or help provide parent support in many of the PTA's activities throughout the year.

The PTA is an excellent medium for parents or caregivers to meet others, particularly those who are new in the school or the area, and who have an interest in the activities of their children inside and outside of school.

Some of the many activities the PTA is involved are:

  • Library

  • Organising and repairing resources

  • Parent morning teas

  • Parent evenings

  • Making resources

  • Fundraising

  • Family barbeques

  • Christmas Market
