International Students Enrolment
St Heliers School is a Signatory to the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.
We enrol the following categories of international students
Long-term students.
We accept students in Years 1 to 8 (aged 5 to 13 years).
Students in Years 1 to 8 (aged 5 to 13 years) must live with a parent.
We accept applicants for full-year enrolments or at least two terms within the academic year.
Parents will need to apply for a Student Visa for their child.

St Heliers School has NZQA certification that our school meets the quality standards of pastoral care as set out in the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.

Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full cost of that treatment.

The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents, and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs.

To become an international student at St Heliers School follow these steps
1. Complete the Application Form and Enrolment Agreement:

Click on the Application Form and Enrolment Agreement to download.
Click on Open in Acrobat Reader (top right hand corner of screen).
Click on Purple pen - Fill and sign (right hand side of screen).
Who needs to sign first? Click on Me.
Fill in the spaces on the Application Form and Enrolment Agreement.
Save, Print and Sign.
Email signed copy of Enrolment Agreement to the school.
Before signing the Application Form and Enrolment Agreement, please read the following documents:
How much does it cost?
1. Please send the following documentation with your application:
Copy of your child's latest school report, for social and academic progress. Please provide certified translated copies of the reports.
Copy of the front page of the passports of the student and the parent.
Copy of the student's birth certificate.
Copy of the student's immunization certificates, including the MMR vaccination.
2. Receive an invoice for fees
3. Pay fees into the school bank account.
4. Receipt Offer of Place subject to Visa.
5. Apply to New Zealand Immigration for Student Visa

6. The school must receive copies of Student Visas as soon as they are issued.
7. Health and Travel Insurance.

8. School uniform.
St Heliers School requires students to dress in a school uniform; the average cost of a school uniform is $350.

Accommodation
All international students (Years 1 to 8) enrolled at St Heliers School, must live with and continue to live with a parent.
St Heliers School does not allow students to live in a homestay.
St Heliers School monitors all categories of student accommodation, in accordance with the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.
Parents and designated caregivers must advise the school of any change in their contact details, type of accommodation and residential address.
Any changes in accommodation type must be approved by the International Student Manager or the Principal.
