Bay Suburbs Football Success
On Tuesday 21 May, eight schools competed in the Bay Suburbs soccer tournament at Glover Park. Despite some rainy weather, everyone enjoyed the day and played their best. St Heliers sent four teams - two from Year 5 (girls & boys) and two from Year 6 (girls & boys). For the first time, St Heliers also provided 14 referees made up of our Year 7 and 8 students, a wonderful leadership opportunity for them. St Heliers' teams showed amazing sportsmanship and worked collaboratively to achieve some great results. Our Year 5 and 6 girls' teams both placed third in the competition. The Year 6 boys' team won second place and the Year 5 boys took out the top spot, winning first place.
