Eastern Zone Netball - Year 7 and 8
Typically the EZ netball tournament, hosted at the Auckland Netball Centre, is known to be one of the coldest places to be. This tournament however, we were greeted by the sun gently grazing our cheeks. This has been an exceptional tournament, not just ranking wise but also with sportsmanship, with every player trying their best. St Heliers boasted five netball teams; a Year 7 girls and boys team, two year 8 girls teams, and one year 8 boys team. The end results were: Y7 girls 6th, Y7 boys 3rd, Y8 girls A 7th, Y8 girls B 4th, Y8 boys 5th. All in all, it was a successful tournament and we appreciate the managers, umpires, supporters, and teachers who gave up their time to come and cheer us on.
