AUCC Year 3&4 Six-A-Side Fun Cricket Festival

The AUCC Year 3&4  Six-A-Side Fun Cricket Festival was PHENOMENAL, FANTASTIC and FUN-FILLED from start to finish. 60 Year 3&4 SHS students travelled to and from the event at Colin Maiden Park in St Johns by bus.The AUCC staff went all out with enthusiastic and passionate scorers/coaches and the SHS parent help was also truly outstanding - from setting up gazebos and laying tarpaulins to supervising and managing the cricket teams at each game.

 Miss Mill and Mrs Preston had an amazing time and the behaviour of the SHS students was exemplary. Meanwhile Hearts (the Auckland Women’s Cricket Team) was practicing on one of the pitches and police dog handlers were prepping their dogs for duty on another pitch. 

Our students all seemed to love it from start to finish. They won many of their games and learnt lots. They made us all proud to be from SHS. Miss Mill and Mrs Preston are absolutely keen to go again next year with another group of enthusiastic young cricketers!.
