AUCC Year 5&6 Six-A-Side Fun Cricket Festival
On Wednesday 27 November St Heliers School took 8 cricket teams from the Pakake team (Year 5 and Year 6) to Colin Maiden Park. All of the teams had a great day.
At the cricket tournament, our first match was against Stonefields Year 6’s. Our team lost but it was a very fun match! We had a 5 minute break then got started on our next match, against our own St Heliers Year 6's. It was a very close game, we lost, yet it was still very exciting. Our third and final match was against Pt England Year 6’s.
It was a very tricky match! In the end we got a good score but Pt England won! The last match was the most exciting! We finished the day on a bye, but proudly. The day of cricket was an amazing experience

Cricket was amazing!!. Two Year 6 boys teams went to the cricket tournament the B team came third and the A team came fourth. We had lots of fun and loved the day down at Colin Maiden Park. It was very sunny and hot. Thank you to all the coaches who gave up their valuable time to train us in the mornings.
Ethan Davies and Hudson McFarlane Year 6
At the start of the day, we were all hyped and ready for the journey ahead. We got into our teams and headed off to the cricket pitch. Our team achieved a whopping first win with 31 runs to 12. There were a few balls caught on the full and some wickets as well. But at the end of the day, no matter what place we came, we all agreed that we had a fun time and a blasting experience at AUCC.
