SHS Takes Out Competition
The St Heliers Library in association with the St Heliers Business Association ran a competition for Year 7 and 8 students in the community to celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics. They were invited to ‘Design a Futuristic Sports Flag’. The flags were judged by New Zealand Gold Medalist, Rob Waddell.
Denise P won the Gold Medal while Demi P, Charlotte G & Katie G and Caedence S were runners up. Tori P also gained a place.
Denise won $100 for herself and $650 for the school. The runners up received $50 for themselves and $250 for the school.
In total the school will receive $1,400 which will be used to purchase additional sports equipment for the school.
