SHS at Mathex

Mathex was a blast, with over 120 teams competing, in both Year 7&8. The teams consisted of four team members, including a runner. We had to quickly deliver and check the answer with a marker, then the runner would sprint back with either a new question or the same one. With twenty questions in thirty minutes, it was fast-paced and exciting to watch!
Year 7 started first and finished 19/20 questions, which resulted in 95/100 points. The Year 8A team finished with 18 questions correct, which got them 90/100 points. The Year 8B team finished with 8/20 questions correct, Team B (40 points).
The whole experience was heaps of fun as everyone got to interact with each other and share their mathematical knowledge. At the end of the evening,everyone got a Mathex pen to remember the 2024 Mathex.
