Chess Power Open Day at SHS
Written By Sean Valvoi
Almost 170 students took part in an open day to learn all about Chess. From complete beginners to masters. They learnt all about the history and origins of the pieces, and steps to successfully play the game. The students then got to put their theory into practice and enjoyed demonstrating what they had learnt.
It was a very successful day and a great opportunity for the students at St Heliers School to gain a valuable experience. Watch this space for more information on how your child can get involved in Tournaments, furthering their skills and being part of the Chess Club.
